- Wash the rice gently under running water in the pan or a bowl to remove any lime or hulls. Drain water carefully and repeat until the water runs clear.
- Add measured water and rice to pan and heat to boil on stovetop.
- Once boiling cover, lower heat to simmer. Simmer for 15-20 minutes (varies on size and freshness of rice-average of 18 minutes is a good start)
- At time, keep lid on and remove from heat. Let rest 10 minutes and serve.
